From November 6 to 9, 2022, at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Greenshades hosted Payroll, HR, and Tax professionals from around the country for our first-ever live user group event, GLUG. After three full days of classes, events, and really good food, attendees left full of knowledge and equipped to harness the full power of Greenshades.

Participants were welcomed to GLUG with a reception to kick off the event. The intimate gathering was a great chance to meet and mingle with the Greenshades team while preparing for the week ahead. The real meat of the conference started on Monday. Over the course of three days, Greenshades hosted multiple masterclasses, product presentations, and more.
The highlight of the event was the roundtable discussions. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed interacting and learning from their peers and Greenshades personnel. They found the collaborative discussions were a great way to review solutions to problems they may have experienced in their roles. Many guests who attended the event with questions about the Greenshades platform felt the panel discussions helped them find the answers they were seeking.
Most notably, guests enjoyed it when the Greenshades implementations team took out their laptops and actively worked through common user problems. The real-time, in-person interaction was beneficial to all that participated.
Another highlight of the event was the benefits masterclass hosted by Greenshades own Katie McGinnis, Senior Product Manager, and Carson Conner, Senior Support Analyst. After diving into the basics of the Greenshades Benefits Module, the team covered the types of benefits and mistakes that typically occur for benefits admin.
At the end of the conference, Leslie L. told the Greenshades team her largest takeaway was the "vast knowledge on items [she’s] using and [items] others [were] interested in.” She was also “impressed with the knowledge of all Greenshades Employees."
Although Greenshades was the host of the event, it would not have been possible without the support of our event sponsors: Lathem, myHRcounsel, Rockton Software, and WS Tools. Attendees enjoyed visiting with representatives from the various Greenshades marketplace partners. In doing so, guests were able to learn about the tools and solutions they provide that complement the Greenshades platform.
At the end of the conference, Greenshades hosted attendees for a GLUG Celebration at Red Rocks Bowling Lanes! The closing event was a great chance for everyone to unwind and relax after a busy few days. Join us for this year’s event October 8-10, 2023, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego.
